Heathrow T5 to Victoria

We will be staying near Victoria and Rome2Rio suggests a direct bus. In the past we’ve taken the train but the opportunity for zero changes with our luggage sounds great. My question is how difficult will it be to find the central bus station (near T3?) after a long flight? Do you have any advice?

Terminal 5 has its own bus station. You will go from there.
Just keep walking through T5 after arrival; following the signs that lead you to the bus/coach station.

You will see the ticket counter. Buy a ticket specifically to Victoria Coach Station, then go out the double glass sliding doors. Sit on a bench and wait for your bus to pull into the stalls. It will say Victoria Coach Station on its header.

Your bus will arrive at Victoria Coach Station which is across the street from Victoria train station.
Walk to your hotel from there.

Cheaper than the train. (We paid 6 pounds each.) The buses/coaches have clean, comfy seats and Wifi.

Big plus: You will see more scenery from the bus than if you had taken the train.

And it drops you exactly where you need to be. No worries about a train or tube strike that day.

I booked National Express bus from LHR to Victoria Coach Station, which is an 8 minute walk to my hotel. Easy to do online. There’s a £5 change option if you think you’ll be delayed.

This sounds like a typical Rome2Rio rubbish route. Ignore it

I agree with Roger that Rome2Rio sometimes has strange advice or routes to follow!

However, my husband and I have done the bus/coach from Heathrow to Victoria many times and like it as one way to get into London.

Forgot to mention in my last post: The bus driver will put any large luggage you have into the cargo hold under the bus.
Carry-on and small bags, purses, go onto the bus with you.
