Heathrow T5 to The London Edition

Hello - Our family of 3 will be traveling to London on 12/21. We arrive at Heathrow T5 on 12/22 and are staying at the London Edition.
Haven't been to London for a long time. Trying to determine the best way to get from Heathrow T5 to our hotel. Seems like either the tube or express train but not sure. Any advice woud be wonderful. Thanks

Also traveling from there to central Oxford on 12/28. What might be the best way to travel there as well.

What time is you flight’s arrival scheduled for?

If it were me I’d book NOW on the Heathrow Express. 15 minute ride to Paddington Station. Then board Elizabeth Line to Tottenham Court. Exit and its a 10 minute walk to your hotel.

From Paddington Station take a Great Western train to Oxford.

It is on paper ten minutes quicker via the HEX and Elizabeth line rather than taking the EL all the way from Heathrow but does introduce the need to change from the high level platforms at Paddington to the low level ones (escalators / lifts / some walking). My preference personally would be the latter. If no EL train is shown at T5, take the Express to Terminals 2,3 and do a same platform transfer.

On the EL whichever way you go, do go right down to the far end of the train if you can as you want the exit at the front, rather than the entrance at the back (Hanover Square).

To Oxford take the EL to Paddington and change to the high level.

I agree with Marco......Elizabeth line direct to Tottenham Court Road.

Also cheaper than the Heathrow Express.

The same for Oxford.
