Heathrow strikes hopefully cancelled

You may have read about a huge number of strike days being announced at Heathrow. Well the first one has been cancelled following a pay offer (and it sounds like a generous one) and staff will be balloted. If they accept (which the union is advising them to) then all the airport strikes will be off.

As noted previously, the main impact of these has been cancellations rather than on the ground, but it's still good news for travellers.

I hope this is the case. Does anyone have any experience with arrivals to LHR during a strike? It seems the schedule this summer is for security workers, which would mostly affect outgoing flights. I'm wondering if many incoming flights are disrupted, as we are due to arrive to LHR on a planned strike day (if they don't end up being cancelled).

The answer I received to a similar question on this subject is that arriving passengers will not be affected.

The offer has been accepted in the ballot.
