Heathrow Hilton

Hi, Everyone,
Have any of you stayed overnight at the Heathrow Hilton / Terminal 4 in order to catch an early departure back to the States?
I need to get over to Terminal 2. Have researched what info exists online re Heathrow Connect, but I'd like to hear from you if you have personal experiences and suggestions.

Alternately, I'm looking into staying overnight in Windsor and taking an early taxi to Heathrow.

Certainly appreciate any comments. I'm in my 60s, traveling alone at the end of April.

Take care, and many thanks,
Judith

I stayed there several years ago. It’s not actually in T4 but linked to it via covered walkway. A short walk maybe 5 minutes tops. Hotel itself was fine. Rooms were quiet enough that i could sleep without using earplugs. Felt totally safe so no concerns there. Executive lounge has views of the taxiways so you can watch the aircraft going to and fro. I would stay there again if needed.

I had to change terminals too. Inter terminal train worked fine. No issues.

I stayed at the newish Premier Inn that is a bit farther from the terminal than the Hilton, and it was fine. The Premier Inn has had some extremely low rates for an airport hotel recently, so you might check it out if you don't necessarily need to stay at the Hilton.

When I priced out the Yotel last July or August for a mid-September stay, it was over 100 GBP and the Premier Inn was under 50 GBP. It does take 10-15 minutes to walk to the Premier Inn, but you get a much larger room. Also be careful about cancellation policies. I think some of the Yotel-style places require pre-payment and are non-refundable.

I have stayed at Hilton Heathrow Terminal 4 perhaps 5 or 6 times over the years. In some cases my morning departure was from Terminal 4...in other cases from other terminals. It's easy to get from Terminal 4 to Terminal 2 on the inter terminal train.

The Hilton was fine in terms of safety, quiet room, and peace of mind that I would make my early departure (my goal is always to arrive at the Heathrow terminal 3 hours before flight departure). With an early depature, it is a plus to me to be able to walk to Terminal 4 so that I am not relying on a cab or hotel shuttle bus.

Having said all that, I am going to check into the rates at the new Heathrow Premier Inn to compare to Hilton for my 1 night stay at Heathrow in May 2018.
