Heathrow followup question

We will be leaving Heathrow on an early morning Delta flight in mid-October from Terminal 3.

We are looking for recommendations for hotels at the airport in close proximity to terminal 3 that are walkable or provide a convenient shuttle.

Thank you.

Last September I used the newish Premier Inn that has a covered walkway (perhaps 10 minutes) to Terminal 4. There was an airport shuttle train to whichever terminal I flew out of. Although something right at Terminal 3 would be more convenient for you, I mention the Premier Inn because the rate was so incredibly low: I paid under 50 GBP for a single room, which is pretty remarkable for an airport hotel. The Yotel was more than twice as expensive at the time I made my reservation, 4 to 6 weeks ahead of time.

There are no hotels directly connected to Terminal 3. The only ones are near Terminals 4 and 5. To get to Terminal 3 you can take either the Heathrow Express or Heathrow Connect. Travel on these between terminals is free.

There are also hotels near Terminal 3 off airport grounds and there is a Hoppa bus service that will get you to the airport.

I've only stayed at the Sofitel connected to Teminal 5. I've been there a few times and never had a problem.

My daughter and I stayed at a Premier Inn in Hounslow which was cheap because so few usual hotel things were included. I arranged for us to ride the shuttle to the airport but it never showed up (we couldn't wait another hour without missing our flight) so I snagged a taxi at the last minute so we would be able to get our flight. Premier Inn promised to refund what I paid for the shittle but never did. It was clean and comfy, no soaps, phone, tv, and had to not rely on them for transportation. Just be sure you know what you're getting, not getting, and stay on top of your own transportation to the airport. Have a great trip and have fun!

Premier Inn usually has a dispenser near the sink and in the shower with soap in it. Good to know if that's not the case in Hounslow.

What a pain about the planned-for shuttle not showing up!

Search for hotels on discount along the Bath Road. There are usually a number, particularly at the weekend.

These include the aforementioned Sheraton, the Marriott, the Renaissance, two Ibis, the Doubletree etc

Travel on a normal red London bus from the Bath Road to the Heathrow Central Bus station at no charge as Emma says. Won't be any slower than the Hoppa, particularly if that still has to do a number of hotels.
