Heathrow Connect

I'm interested in buying the cheaper HC tickets for our upcoming return trip to the airport. I understand that this is now managed by TFL; my question is where do I buy the tickets? I'm hoping to go ahead and purchase online since our travel times are fixed. In some of my online research, it looks like maybe I can just use the Oyster card? I feel more clueless about this than anything so far!

Thanks!!

Note that this will be counted within the daily cap, should you have other travel before or after on the day. Also the frequency is still only 2 per hour at present.

Wow. What a convenience AND it counts toward the daily cap on the Oyster. Thanks for sharing this!

The zone 1-6 cap that is. Still you would hit that with only one or two more journeys on the day.

I have to add that having the Elizabeth Line / Crossrail service from Heathrow to Paddington be part of the Oyster / Travelcard network is one of the best things. Once it gets fully running and you can take one of those new Class 345 trains all the way from the airport west of the city to East London and destinations in Essex... it will make things so much easier for people wanting to get to Liverpool Street station for connections into East Anglia.
