Hello - we will be in the UK next month and plan on having a car meet us at Heathrow and take us to York directly.i know the train is less expensive but we want convenience after a long flight. After a few days in York, we will take the train to London. Does anyone have experience with a car service that has done this trip from Heathrow to York any recommendations greatly appreciated.
No personal experience, but this service has gotten generally positive reviews here.

For a car for up to 4 passengers from LHR to York it shows 380GBP
380-420 GBP. works out to be from $500 or MORE.
Sorry, the train works for me. That is almost half what we paid to from the East Coast to the UK.
Hi
“We want convenience”. That’s kind of why we have the public transport/rail network. I have a car, a nice one at that, and am about 250 miles from London Heathrow. But I would never consider driving to or from there. Train, for me, is much more convenient, not to mention quicker and probably more comfortable.
But you pays your money and takes your choice I guess.

Thank you to everyone for the kind replies - we have altered our plans and will spend the first 3 days at a hotel near Paddington and King’s Cross and do separate day trips to both York and Bath catching very early AM train so can have full day in each of these cities than staying in central London for remaining 5 nights.
The best things in York for us were the Minster (Cathedral), we spent 3 hours there. Loved the National Railway Museum (located near the train station.
Walking the ancient walls was great. Also, there are a couple of great museums in the city. There is an area of the city that had the narrow old streets like the ancient city, it was nice perusing that area.
Enjoy.
I have used Blackberry several times in London. They r very reliable.
