My daughter and I are flying into Heathrow on different flights within 40 minutes of each other (if all goes well) but arriving at two different terminals. Her terminal 2 me at 3. Any suggestions on the best way to meet up with her at the airport? Can I get to her gate or will security not allow me through to her terminal and gate? her baggage claim?
Does anyone know or have a suggestion?

You will have to agree to meet up land side at a particular terminal (2 probably). You can't go and meet people before they have exited immigration and customs.
Are there any specifics landmarks we could meet at in terminal 2? Is there a cab stand there?
The official airport meeting points at Heathrow are marked with signs (four arrows pointing inward to a dot)
Terminal 2: Opposite the exit to international arrivals
Terminal 3: Arrivals building, ground floor seating area
Terminal 4: Next to WHSmith in arrivals (ground floor)
Terminal 5: There are two meeting points on the ground floor, marked by banners:
North meeting point: near green staircase, opposite Travelex
South meeting point: near orange staircase, near Costa.
If you go to the Heathrow website, there are maps for each of the terminals. Take a look at the International Arrivals area for T2 and choose a shop or other loacation n the public area. Unfortunately, I haven't flown into T2 since the renovation so I don't have a specific suggestion.
Regardless, you will want to have a backup plan in case someone's flight is significantly delayed. Generally, when I am meeting someone, I always choose to meet them at the hotel.
Yes, I so agree with Laura to have a backup plan in case of a flight delay. I'm sure you know where the hotel is but make sure your daughter has the address and how to get in to London if that is where it is located. She also needs to have some Pounds Sterling with her or a way to get some out of an ATM.
