Yes you do, in T3, as domestic arrivals are not segregated in the terminal transfer buses. If your outwards flight had also been from T5 then this would not be required.

You will take a bus to T3 and then go through security. If it was the same terminal there would be no security. (My own experience.)

Even if it was T5 to T5 you’d still go through security.
Not when the inbound flight has started from another UK airport, providing you go the transfer route.

Badger is right. Last year I flew MAN-LHR-USA. No security between flights.
