This alert, the first in a new alerts programme, has been issued for London, the Midlands, Eastern and Southern England with temperatures set to exceed 30C.
Still can't believe they issue alerts for this sort of temperature - given it is described as "an outside chance of 30 degrees, dependent on sunshine".
These are the type of temperatures where a chap could be forgiven for loosening his tie. Pimms all round!
Sorry those of you who live in the UK, but to me, that's a comfortable summer day.
EDITED: I asked my daughter what she would call that temperature and she said "a cold front".
I’ve had my heating on all week. I’m not sure what East Yorkshire has done to upset the sun.
Seems a bit mental. 30 is hardly extreme. We do love a bit of weather drama over here.
