Has Anyone Moved to England Under Their Dependents Tier 4 Visa?

My wife was recently accepted into a university in England and we will be relocating over there later this year. Just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience that I could bounce some thoughts off of? Ive been research cell phone plans, work requirements, etc but some stuff I just can't seem to find on the internet. Thanks!

Falcon, Are you sure the Tier 4 visa allows dependants to work? There is info on the internet, but it is very legalistic.
The official UK government site on Tier 4 visas is here: https://www.gov.uk/tier-4-general-visa/overview
And the complete statement of the rules (97 page PDF) is here: https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/571885/T4-migrant-policy-guidance-november-2016.pdf
Page 66 has the rules, but they don't sound good. You may need to apply separately for a visa.

From a semi-official site: http://www.ukcisa.org.uk/Information--Advice/Visas-and-Immigration/Dependants
Click on "working":

Although the Home Office stated in a news item on 14 July 2015 that it intended to limit the entitlement of dependants to work in the UK in future, it has not yet done so.

As regards "cell" plans (called mobile phones in the UK), the best bet is when you get to the UK to buy a new phone, or SIM card if your existing phone is compatible. This will give you a UK number.

Driving Licence. You don't say which country you are from. But, if you are not from the EU (and if you are from the EU you don't need a work permit, nor a Tier 4 visa, so the above is academic), you will only be able to use your home licence for a limited period, then you will need to pas a UK driving test. I am sure the university can provide assistance and information since you will not be the first dependent showing up. Have you contacted the university. Also I sure that a British consulate would be helpful. Call them.
