Has anyone done the London Walks day trip to the Cotswolds?

Am I crazy to consider it? Knowing how well they generally do things (and that their guides are top-notch), and that of course a few DAYS in the Cotswolds would be preferable, it still sounds like a fun way to at least get a fun day in. Train from Paddington, and then you only have to do coach/van a little bit up there, and they walk from at least one place to another.

Again, I know it would be so much better to go for a few days, but that's not an option for me right now.

Merci!

I did two about 10 years ago, I did one that was just Cotswolds and one that was Oxford and the Cotswolds. Both were enjoyable days out and you saw some lovely places with an excellent guide.

If you're talking about the "Original London Walks" tour company, I would definitely recommend it! I've been on the Cotswold's tour twice, and have been on the combined Oxford and Cotswold's twice as well. All were great, but try to do Cotswold's only, you'll see much more of the village life. Richard usually guides the Cotswolds walk, and he's terrific!

Thanks for the feedback, Laura and Sue! That's really helpful. I'm lucky in that they're offering the Cotswolds tour my last full day in London (they only offer it every few weeks). I'm going to go ahead and give it a go!

Thanks for the info David! The trip is tomorrow, and the weather looks like it will be at least fair. I'm looking forward to it! More later. . . .
