Harry Potter/ WB Studios Tour ETA?

From London, if I go via tube, it looks like it takes a little over an hour to get to the Warner Bros Tour lot.
How long should I give myself to take the tube and transfer to the shuttle and make it through security?

I have a 10 am reservation on a Wednesday in September, hoping it won't be as crowded mid week.
Or, should I just UBER it for 30 pounds?

Michele, The tube doesn't go there. You need to take a train from Euston station to Watford junction station, and then the shuttle bus to Leavesden studio. There are stopping trains, which make lots of stops (~15) and terminate at Watford junction, and fast trains where Watford Junction is the first or second stop. The latter are a lot quicker and overtake the stopping trains..
Security? what security?

Going by road will be a lot slower, and more unpredictable how long it will take.

We did this in September a few years ago. We took the 4:24pm from Euston, getting off at 4:46. Our reservation was at 5:00. Not sure what I was thinking planning it that way, because they tell you to get there early. We did not take the shuttle, we just hopped in a cab. I remember being a nervous wreck the whole way to the studios (we're going to miss our tour!!!), but that was a waste of energy. There was no one there - perhaps ten other people in the lobby with us. We took pictures of the lobby, etc., and the tour begin. It was lots of fun, looked at every single thing, and wound up taking their shuttle back to the train station.
My point....this was easy. You can do it :)

You should plan to arrive at Watford Junction 45 minutes prior to the ticket time you have booked. This gives you time to get the shuttle and pick up your tickets at the door.

The website said they check our bags, so I assumed security like a theme park. Ok I'll plan according

You can get to Watford Junction on the Bakerloo line by changing at the end of the line (Harrow and Wealdstone) to a train but it is a slow journey and only really to be contemplated if you are close to a Bakerloo line station but remote from Euston.

If you see a map with Watford Junction as the end of the Bakerloo it is from before 1982.

There are infrequent semi-fast train services from other stations such as West Brompton which might be good if again you are nearby.

When we went last June, we took the underground to Easton station, then took the overground to Watford Junction. Outside the station is the bus to Harry Potter Studio.

Definitely check the train stops and take the one with fewer stops because it makes about a hour difference. The WB tour bus is 2pounds round trip. Worth it.

If you get to the studios early, you can shop and check all your bags for free. I loved that I shopped while waiting and then got some Starbucks because well, 'Merica.

As far as the tour itself, it was great. I was with a huge potterhead and love the books and movies myself. It was an all day venture to be honest. We took our time but the tour just keeps going. There is butterbeer and ice cream in the middle and you think that's the end...it's not.

Totally worth the time spent there. Take lots of pictures!
