Hannah and the coronation

Leave it to Hannah to do a coronation update, including what's going on around Buckingham Palace, timing and where to camp out.

And as usual she goes shopping afterwards, she is forever at Harrods or Fortnum & Mason. She is in those stores more than most employees. This time she's looking at coronation goodies at F&M.

At the end she also visits a postal museum with her nieces which actually looks like a lot of fun for the youngs.

Or care? The mention that someone spends a lot of time in Harrods and F&M rules out my interest.
In her.

never heard of her. sounds like her shopping habits and interests don't match mine. I'll pass.

Hannah Ricketts. She's a vlogger who walks around various places in London. She often goes shopping, but also has lots of other videos too. She is well worth checking out. I was so glad when I discovered her. She is very personable and makes fun videos.

How can she have gone shopping afterwards? Unless I am living in a different space time continuum the coronation hasn't happened yet.

What is with all these cranky replies?

Thanks for sharing a link to something you found entertaining.

I think people are cranky, Carol, because the original post was written as if everyone would know who Hannah is.

Now that I have seen the whole name there is a partial answer.

Still news to me.

And we are suppose to care about Hannah? Why?

Why is this even here? LOL!

Such crankiness! Perhaps I just Youtube more than most but Hannah Ricketts is a well known London travel and lifestyle vlogger with over 100,000 subscribers.

But even if you didn't know who she was, if you were going to be present for the event and wonder about logistics, she gives good info.

And if you're interested in buying coronation-branded merch from F&M, she walks the store and shows it all to you. Lots of folks get into that and they have a wide selection.

And she doesn't just shop at high end stores. She has videos where she's gone to Tesco and discount stores, Borough Market, Notting Hill and the Portobello Market. She's done videos having afternoon tea at Fortnum and Mason, Harrods, The Ritz, and several other places. She's gone up the Shard and across Tower Bridge.

People who aren't familiar with London, and come here for advice, might very well want to check her out. Lots of great stuff in her videos.

Hannah Ricketts is a well known London travel and lifestyle vlogger.

That's the sentence that was missing from the first post. It's valuable contextualizing information. (I watch a lot of YouTube, including travel content, and she's never crossed my radar.)

Actually I think the 'crankiness" is probably because some of us don't need Rick Steves Travel forum to turn into "vlogger" promotion. The information provided by about 90% of these "well known experts" is either useless or even wrong. I think that some of us really would like to not be subject to "promos for my favorite youtube "influencers" LOL!

And I went and tried to watch Hannah... If there's useful information in there I didn't see any of it before I got bored and turned her off LOL

The problem is that she is no doubt being paid to advertise Fortnum and Mason’s and all the other places that she visits. While her videos may be entertaining, her recommendations are not to be taken seriously.

Well I went through Heathrow and bought a coronation tea towel as a joke for my sister as she was/is a royal watcher.

I wonder if coronation will get the ratings of a royal wedding?

nope

nothing like

or do you mean from family - certainly not in England

I doubt it will get the same kind of ratings, but I'm planning on watching. When will I get the chance to watch a coronation again? It's been 70 years since the last, I doubt it will be more than 20 til the next but who knows what will happen to me in the meantime?

Well if my local screening party is anything to go off, it's not going to get the ratings. As of 1pm today they have still only sold 3 tickets- and they are only £3 each including food. That is no change in the last week.

Everybody I know is going away or doing something else. There is zero interest in it from what I can tell. Most people will want to take advantage of an extra bank holiday weekend, especially in May when the weather should be starting to improve and people start camping and that sort of thing again.
