We're thinking about taking the train from Hanborough Station to Oxford for a day, probably on a Thursday (June 1). It seems like a small station - is parking an issue? We'll have a car but don't want to drive into Oxford.
See station info, which says that they have 48 paid parking spaces. I don't know whether those regularly get taken up by commuters.
Thank you for the reply - I'm now considering driving into one of the park-and-ride lots on the perimeter (probably Pear Tree) and taking the bus into the city. It looks quite manageable, and would give us more flexibility in terms of time.
There are actually around 250 spaces these days at Hanborough. However, they are pretty well all utilised Monday-Thursday.
Most of the Cotswold Line station parking is fully utilised weekdays.
Park and Ride is really really easy.
