Thanks in advance for your help. My husband and I are planning three nights in London in mid-May on the way home from Portugal. We had hoped to see Hampton Court on a Monday this trip, but the schedule is a bit confusing. The website says they are closed Monday and Tuesday during the autumn and winter, but other sites say they are only open seven days during school holidays. Hoping to find that they will indeed be open. The backup plan is Kew Gardens.
Hmm, yes, their website doesn't tell you their summer opening times/days, but I think it’s highly unlikely that they won’t be open on Mondays in May. Your best option might be to scroll down to the bottom of the page on the website and email them via Contacts to ask.
Generally the summer season for most venues like this starts either at Easter or early May. I’m pretty sure Hampton Court will no longer be in its winter opening hours by then. I suspect the “only open seven days during school holidays” is specific to the winter. By which I mean that during the summer, they’re open seven days all the time.
Sorry, I wanted to share this which I thought was funny (but maybe only funny to me). I know nothing about Hampton Court so I read the title as Hampton Courtyard and was wondering if this is a post about when to schedule for a hotel stay. LOL :)
Thank you! Great advice and I will definitely confirm with Hampton Court.
Muriel, that is funny. We're staying at a Hampton by Hilton and I think I'm making the map app dizzy with trying to figure out where I want to go and from where.
@sherriwcline, oh that's just too funny! You are staying at a Hampton and want to visit another Hampton, but not the hotel variety :) Enjoy your London visit!
