Hi - can anybody suggest a London Heathrow hotel that has guest laundry facilities? I am looking for self-serve washers/dryers that we use ourself - not just a 'laundry service'. A lot of the hotel sites do not include this info or are ambiguous. Thank you!
Very few UK hotels provide this service - tried using a filter on booking.com, no luck.
As already said very few hotels in the UK provide self service guest laundry facilities, but one chain that does is Staybridge Suites, part of the IHG group. I first came across them travelling in the US and have since stayed at their excellent Dundee hotel. A quick search revealed that they now have a hotel very close to Heathrow - on the same road as most of the airport hotels. Here's a link to their site.
Thank you!
Hilton Garden Inn London Heathrow airport looks to have a small guest self-serve laundry (2 washers/2 dryers) but I'd contact them to be sure, and to be sure it's available during the days/hours you think you'll be using it.

This near-the-airport Heathrow hotel also has a guest self-serve laundry. It doesn't look to have shuttle service to/from the airport so might involve a cab. Not sure.

The Heathrow Hoppa bus H2H goes to the Staybridge Suites.
Excellent, Skyegirl. Good on you for catching that! LOL, we linked the same hotel; I think I was still banging away on my post when you'd already wrapped yours up. :O)
Kate - teamwork across the ocean!
I have used the laundry facilities at the Hilton Garden Inn at T2 & T3 a few times. There are two laundry rooms on two different floors. Each has one washer and one dryer. They cost 2 GBP each. One room is on the 10th floor which is the one I've used. The other, I think, is on the 5th floor. Cash only and reception can give you change.
Each time I've used them--late mornings--no one else has been around. I believe they are available 24/7.
Any extended stay/aparthotel will have some type of self-service laundry facilities. Some are free, some cost.
This includes Staybridge Suites, Residence Inn, Citadines, Fraser Suites, Wilde/Staycity, Native and Roomzzz to name a few.
I really appreciate the help so far - thank you!
You can do a search for laundromat in the area through Googlemaps.. That is what my wife have done on many trips. They have many machines so you can get it done in about an hour. They have soap added automatically so you don't need to buy it separately. You can even leave it while it washes and check out the neighborhood around it. I have never heard of anyone stealing underwear yet. LOL
The beauty of Staybridge Suites is that their laundry facilities are free to use. They will sell you detergent very cheaply or you could bring some from home in a zip bag.
We got our best deal at a hotel we stayed at in Florence this year on our Rick Steves tour. We were going to hit a laundromat that evening after dinner but found out we could get a bag of laundry done for 15 euros from the hotel.. It was about the size of a grocery bag or a carry on bag size. That was an easy drop off at the front desk and we had it back that evening. I was very surprised on the price.
So you may be able to do something like that.
The problem with area laundromats is if the OP is wanting a facility at an airport hotel because, say, they're enroute to another location (by air) and don't have a car. Yes, there is a stand-alone, self-serve laundry near the airport (see link below) but not at a hotel and you'd likely need to have a car, take a cab or figure out public transport. Anyway, I'm guessing there's a reason why they're specific regarding the desire for an on-site facility?
Heathrow Launderette & Dry Cleaners: they do it for you or do your own.
