We will be in port for 2 days. What are somethings to do and places to see. Any favorite pubs and restaurants?
Well, you the whole of London. What are he interested in?
All of London is right there on your doorstep when you’re at Greenwich. Where can we even begin with giving you ideas of places to go and see when the list is virtually endless?
Have you been to London before? Read anything about it? Take a look at the top things to do in London to get an idea, then you can ask some more specific questions.
I have been to London several times. I am asking about Greenwich or any nearby villages sights and pubs\restaurants. Thanks
Ok. I’d assumed that most people arriving on a cruise at Greenwich would be using it as a jumping-off point for London rather than staying in Greenwich for two days.
In Greenwich itself, you have the following excellent attractions:
The Cutty Sark
Royal Observatory
National Maritime Museum
Queens House & gallery
Naval College with painted ceiling
Boat trips up the Thames to London
Quick trip on DLR to the Museum of London Docklands at West India Quay
I’m sure others will be along with recommendations for eating and drinking.
The confusion is coming from the fact that Greenwich is very much in London to start with.
If you have never been to Greenwich then that should take up one full day to see the sights. The list above gives you some ideas of what there is there.
From your other post it looks like you’re planning a day at Hampton Court as well. That’s your two days filled.
Do Hampton Court on your first day. Then, if anything goes wrong with the transport you won’t be under pressure to get back to a ship about to sail. That will a lot easier to manage if you’re in Greenwich on day 2.
