Another Railway Question

I am booking a return ticket on GWR from Paddington to Moreton-In-Marsh. The ticket is for a Saturday and is labelled "Super Off-Peak Return". Just saw the other recent thread about "Breaking the Journey". Sounds like I should be able to hop off for a few hours in Oxford on the way back. Does that sound right? This doesn't look to be an Advance ticket so the price will be the same the day before? It is for 2 adults and 2 children so looks like I am getting a group discount as well. Coming out to $102 pounds with an open return.

Thank you for your help.

The general rules are:

Break of journey is allowed on the outward portion of Off-Peak tickets unless otherwise indicated by a restriction shown against the ticket's validity code and in all cases on the return portion of Off-Peak return tickets

The specific restriction code for this ticket which you should have seen at booking is GQ, which adds no restriction to break of journey.

You will have received a Groupsave discount.

Thank you so much for the reply. Hopefully this information will help others as well, it was not obvious on the website what the rules are. It sounds like this price will stay the same up until the day of correct? Since it is so off peak, it doesn't appear there is any advance purchase discount. Am I reading that correctly from the other thread?

Super Off Peak tickets are a walk-up ticket. Buy it a month ahead or as you are running to the train and it is the same price.

Not available on the train - you MUST have it prior to departure.

Also for completeness for the Group save discount the 4 of you need to be together throughout. So 2 couldn't stop off in Oxford with the other 2 going directly to London for example.
