It's hugely popular and sells out very quickly. Lodging also gets booked up early along with price rises so you really need to book things as early as possible. The main route to Goodwood is the A27 which has an annoying amount of roundabouts and this results in considerable congestion particularly at peak times, throw in a big Goodwood event and the traffic becomes miserable so understandably lodging close by is in high demand.
