Good places for Dinner near Victoria Station and Buckingham Palace?

I have one more dining reservation to plan. This will be the final night of our European Trip and I want somewhere in the Victoria Station and Buckingham Palace area as it's close to our hotel and we will have to get to the airport early the next morning.

Any suggestions for a good dinner spot?

Nando’s Victoria on Cardinal Place or Peninsula or Bills. Really depends on your taste buds.

Claudia mentions Bill’s - nice choice! We love Nando’s too, but the vibe is very different. We’ve heard very good things about Grumbles, too - very near Victoria.

I’d be interested to know what cuisine you like, and how much you’d like to spend for this meal.

I really enjoyed Bill’s a lot and it’s also a great place for breakfast.

But I loved Wagamama, which is right in that area. If you like Asian cooking, it has some really interesting and delicious dishes and a really cool vibe. My grandkids loved it as well.

I like The Jugged Hare. It is a Fuller’s Pub in an old bank building. Great interior with solid pub and grub food that Fuller’s pubs are known for.

How about Thomas Cubitt Pub on Elizabeth Street a few blocks from Victoria Station? I guess it depends on where your hotel actually is as to whether it's close enough but it might be fun for your last night.

You might need a reservation if you are on a weekend night.

Wow, Thanks for all the recommendations! I'm going to check out all the menus.

As far as what type of food we like, we aren't too picky. Typically pub food, Italian, Mexican, Asian. Really the only thing we don't eat is seafood. I do want to makes sure it's not a place I need to dress up real for though.

Judy B! I enjoy Sicily as well!

Neither of these are dress up places. I've gone to both wearing my typical travel clothes that I've had on all day.

There is also the very best cake shop between Sicily and Thomas Cubbit called Peggy Porschen cakes. Oh. M. G.

IF you are in the mood for Thai, I had very good food at Rosa's Thai Victoria.

This is the most casual of the 3. It was also very busy when I went there. I got there a little after 5, I think, on a rainy afternoon. After I was seated (no reservation) I watched as they turned folks away for the rest of my dinner.

In case you need more suggestions, I really like Chez Antoinette which is just off Buckingham Gate. It's French, very good food, and not fancy/doesn't require dressing up.
