Good breakfast places at Heathrow

Little over two weeks to go! 😊 We’re arriving very early to LHR and I am sure we will be ready for a decent breakfast. I was thinking we’d eat at the airport before heading into London and finding our flat. I was wondering if you all had any suggestions for a good spot to eat there. I know airport food can’t hold a candle to most off site restaurants, but I’m sure we’ll be famished. Thanks for your help!

If Terminal 5, I’ve had a good breakfast at Gordon Ramsay’s Plane Food, on the level above the main floor. Last time I passed by it, there was a long line waiting to get in. I hope you wouldn’t find a long wait.

I believe we will be coming into terminal 2. If there is a good breakfast offered on the plane, that would be nice, but it’s United basic economy so I am not sure!

On the departure level of Terrminal 2, there is the Queens Arms pub. They serve breakfast. (Scroll down on the menu page to see the breakfast menu.)

It is befor security so you can reach it after you go through immigration and customs.

On United, that your fare was basic economy doesn't impact or affect meal service. You'll receive the same meals as everyone else in economy. In my experience flying to LHR the pre-arrival breakfast/meal on United has usually been Chobani yogurt and a croissant with jam

If it's T2 then there is a Cafe Nero and a pub called the Queens Arms that opens at 0700. But you have to go round to departures to get to the pub - you could be half way into London by the time you get there

Thanks all. Good information! Based on what you said VAP and jgdh, we may get enough to tide us over and then just head on into London to get a nice meal. I’ll keep the restaurant/ pub options in my back pocket just in case. Thanks Frank for the menu link, too!
