Is Golden Tours a reputable firm to do the half day Stonehenge tour?
I can't speak for that, but it's so easy to take the train from London to Salisbury where you can enjoy the catheral and the town, then take The Stonehenge Tour bus to Stonehenge. Just wanted to mention another option to consider.
It is a day tour company that says they are associated with Gray Line tours. Be sure to read the reviews on their website, especially the 1* ones. This is just transportation to the stones and back with no guide.
As indicated it's pretty easy to take the train to Salisbury and pick up the Stonehenge Tour shuttle run by the local bus company. It stops at the station.

Highly advocate KD's recommendation of taking the train and then local Stonehenge bus. Ridiculously ez and provides a great mode of transport.
They are certainly a reputable company who have been around for 40 years. Among other activities they also run the tour buses to the Harry Potter studios.
Whether they are worth the price for this kind of easy day trip is a personal decision.
