Would you recommend going to little Venice? First trip to London.

It's helpful when asking a question like this to tell us how much time you'll have in the city and what your interests are.

Little Venice is a pleasant area and I believe you can take a canal boat ride from there to London Zoo.

But it wouldn't be on my list for my first, second or third trip to London unless I was there for an extended period or happened to be staying in that area.

Hint: it is nothing like Venice apart from having a canal.

Don't think I would bother making a special effort on your first trip, plenty of other things to do.

However, no harm in passing through it, eg. Get the Tube to Paddington, then walk along the canal, through Little Venice to the north side of Regents Park... Then up to the top of Primrose Hill for some great views, then either onwards to Camden, or back down through Regents Park.

You could even grab a few takeaway bites to eat at a Pret along the way and have a little picnic somewhere nice that takes your fancy.

If you want to go to "Little Venice" I suggest taking the two hour guided walk offered by London Walks

You could find it under the Wednesday walks. It may also be give another day.

London Walks also does Little Venice on Saturday afternoons. I've taken three London Walks tours (though not that one) and I second the recommendation of them.

I'm doing Little Venice on my third trip (in June, like you). I've been interested in seeing it all along but time constraints kept bumping it in favor of other sights. I do think (hope) June should be a lovely time of year to see it.

Good luck with your trip!
