Going to England with only 2 weeks notice.

Will it be a problem to book coach tours on arrival in England?
Should I panic and attempt to book now or just wait and find a travel centre upon arrival?

I think you can wait if flexible. And, of course, where you want to go and when. But check the web sites now. You still have time to book on line. We once went with 5 day notice and no passports. That was a long time ago and couldn't be done today.

That you are going to England with just 2 weeks advanced notice sounds positively fantastic!! I love how spur-of-the-moment that is! Unless you MUST be on a tour, if the ones you want are booked, RELAX. No need to panic. (I also say "terrific".)

London is EASY. Take out a travel book from the library (RS, Fodors, your favorite) and let that be your tour guide. Better yet, download RS's free podcasts about traveling in London and the UK including walking tours and museum tours. There are SO MANY OF THEM all free for you to enjoy. How great is that? You will realize that RS makes it easy to see London and England on YOUR terms enjoying every moment of it. You can easily take trains/buses for day trips and let RS or your favorite travel writer be your guide. Win/win.

Have fun!! :-)

Where are you arriving in England? Most visitors land at one of the London airports, but you weren't more specific than "England."

Do you have your first night's lodging (or longer) reserved already?

Do you mean day trip coach tours, based in London or somewhere else, or multi-night tours where you will be moving from place to place every night or so?

If you're talking about day coach trips from London, I think you'll have plenty of choices even on short notice.
