My wife and I are traveling to London during the first two weeks of April,2025. We would like to go
to Bristol to view Bankys street art. We would travel by train from the Paddington station to Bristol and it is about a 2 hour trip. How would suggest seeing the art. Should we hire a guide or do a walking tour on own?
There are maps of Bankys Street Art available online.
You can do this on your own.

There are also quite a lot in the London area if you are interested:

Make a whole day of it, Bristol is a great, maybe a bit overlooked city. In addition to Banksy, there are a few sights related to Isambard Brunel, a well renowned Engineer. The SS Great Britain and the Clifton Suspension Bridge are the two big ones, plus the harbor area is interesting and there is a great market. There are quite a few great restaurants as well.
There are street art tours you can do and Bristol has loads of street art not just the Banksy work. I haven’t done it myself but when we had family visiting they took a tour and really enjoyed it. I think it will make it a lot easier to see as it’s quite spread out.
Upfest is a huge street art festival that takes place every couple of years in South Bristol. A huge number of buildings are repainted each time by leading artists. It’s worth going for a wander in the area. The largest wall is in the Aldi car park on North Street if you want to have a look at some of the ways it’s been repainted over the years.
