Gluten Free in London

Hi everyone!
My husband I will be in London for three days next week. I am gluten intolerant and my body can handle ZERO gluten before getting sick. For those of you with celiac or are familiar with a great gluten free place to eat- what's your favorite? More specifically, does anyone know of a great place to get a traditional English breakfast that has GF options?
We are staying near Victoria Station if that makes a difference.
TIA! :)

Hopefully, you will get some replies. While you are waiting,if you google gluten free restaurants in London England you will find quite a few sources to review. I have a cousin who is in a similar circumstance. We live in a large metropolitan area and even here it's difficult for her to go out. Basically, she has about 5 choices that she knows are safe.

I'd be concerned about possibly finding breadcrumbs on the tomatoes and mushrooms, but perhaps that's not done in England.

you shouldn't have too much trouble in London, I could find gluten free options. even toast with my english breakfast was usually not a problem. my daughter (who is also GF) recently spent many days in london and found GF bakeries and the like without much trouble.
while travelling through the UK I could always find a GF option.

Not gluten intolerant myself, so not something I look at in detail when eating out. But I understand from others who are GF that this is easily catered for in London these days.

Most restaurant chains have websites, which you can have a look at, to see what they have that is GF. Pret, which has places everywhere has items marked GF - www.pret.co.uk.

Have a look at Leon, www.leonrestaurants.co.uk.

Just looked at Wetherspoons website out of interest. www.jdwetherspoon.com. They are a pub chain that do full English breakfasts etc - but definitely not a foodie destination. Checked under food and dietary information and there is a pdf of their GF menu. There are many branches in London and one actually in Victoria station above the concourse.

WOW! All of this information is invaluable. Thank you everyone for chiming in. I had some ideas beforehand but this is a great list. I'll have to post the list of places I go when I get back for other people that have a GI or celiac!

My friend and her daughter who has celiac visited England 2 years ago. They both were pleasantly surprised that they found it much easier to find GF food in Europe. They said they even had GF Kit Kats in England!!

I was in Glasgow, Manchester, and Liverpool last month. The restaurants all had extensive information on their menus about various dietary concerns - gluten free, vegetarian or vegan, and allergies (even more than I'm used to seeing on New York menus). I assume London, as a bigger city, would have an even higher level of awareness.

While we cannot comment on the traditional English breakfast, if you are in the mood for fabulous gluten-free Indian food - try Dishoom. There are multiple locations. We had no problems with cross-contamination and the food was fabulous.
