Gin cocktails in England

My husband and I will be in England for a month this summer. We are gin drinkers, and are curious if anyone has recommendations for pubs or bars that serves fun/interesting gin cocktails. We will be taking the BOSE and BOE RS tours with extra time in London. Cheers!

Just google “London Gin bar” and you will get lists, and other regulars like this Holborn Gin Bar:

Here is their drinks menu:

They get first place on this list:

Or consider Mr. Fogg’s Gin Bar in Covent Garden:

Gin is everywhere at the minute and there seem to be more and more cocktail bars all the time as well. Any cocktail bar will have plenty of gin options. I would do a google search for the area you are in or have a look at Time Out or similar which will have lists of the best cocktail bars in London.

Pubs will sell gin, often several brands, and an increasing number now have Fever Tree tonic (the best). Pubs don’t tend to sell complicated cocktails. It will be spirit and mixer only.

Last time I was in London I went to Mr Fogg's mentioned above. Some very interesting gin cocktails.

If you will be in London, and have time you can arrange a tour of Sipsmith. They are close to the original craft Gin distiller, having grown to have international distribution. Hours are specific, but they do a tour, a tasting of their range of gins, and some swag.

Info here: https://sipsmith.com/us/tours/

The neighborhood they are in (Chiswick) also includes the Fullers brewery and if you wander down to the Thames, a nice riverwalk downriver to Hammersmith and beyond, with several very nice riverside pubs.

As for other distilleries, there are maybe a half dozen or more in the environs of the BOSE tour, so do some searches and keep your eyes open in pubs.

If you do follow Paul’s suggestion of following the river path from Chiswick to Hammersmith if hungry stop at Mari Deli and Dining OR stop at the Dove Pub. Don’t know if they do special gin concoctions
but its a lovely river pub. Still think of the very tasty bowl of pumpkin and sage soup I had there 5 years ago,

hey hey raye7
not too many gin drinkers i know, they like vodka. while in london with 2 friends few years ago, i wanted to do a gin tour and we all agreed.
found shake, rattle and stir with leon. it is now ginjourney.com.
met at distillery for an evening tour. history of gin brewing, a tasting, then hopped on the "gin gin mini van" with private chauffeur along with about 10 people. went to 5 different pubs, each with their own gin & bartendar made a special cocktail of "his" gin and it's history. we did stop at a restaurant next to tower of london for a meal (meal not included in tour). the website is different now, there are a couple tours, some are afternoon walking tours
taken back to distillery with taxi back to our apartment in covent garden. we had a great time and enjoyed it along with the others on the tour.
mattbarrett-travel.com/london pubs
history and heritage of the working pubs, large and small, love some of the names given to them, so many in london and it's different areas of the city. go enjoy and have fun
