Getting to the London Palladium by bus -

I will be in London soon and will attend a show at the London Palladium. My Google Maps directions have me using Bus #94 and getting off at Oxford Circus Station (Stop RG), as does the CityMapper app. Each app has a short walk after alighting from the bus, but they both avoid walking down Little Argyll Street, which seems to me to be most direct route. The TFL Go app does suggest walking down Little Argyll, so my question is: Is there some reason to avoid Little Argyll Street? I looked on Google Earth and it doesn't look like an unsafe place, but maybe some of you may know better. Thanks for any help you can give.

Is there some reason to avoid Little Argyll Street?

None whatsoever, perfectly safe central London street.

Little Argyll Street is perfectly safe and there is no reason to avoid it. I was on Little Argyll Street just last week, in fact! That whole area is safe.

The thing is that there are so many short/winding back streets in London that are so close together that the leading apps (Citymapper, TFL, erc.) sometimes do not agree on exact routes, because there are many competing options. It can be a little confusing. :-)

So take your preferred route to the theatre and enjoy the show!

I think the OP is getting off the bus at Oxford Circus. It's literally a five minute or less walk. All I would do is cross Oxford Street and go down the side of Oxford Street tube station, where the exit is. That's Argyll Street. You can also go down Regent Street and turn left onto Little Argyll Street and the Palladium is facing you. Six and half a dozen.

Stop RG is actually at the end of Little Argyll Street outside the NatWest Bank at 175 Regent Street (just south of Oxford Circus station Entrance)- see Google maps then taking that to street view. So if the bus pulls right up onto the stance (where the stop sign is) in what is quite a long bus bay then the TfL suggestion of Little Argyll Street does seem to be the shorter route.

Ah, I was assuming it was the stop I now know is called RF. Little Argyll Street is better in that case.

Thank you all for your responses Then unless I see Fagin's boys waiting to pick my pocket (LOL), I will use Little Argyll Street. Citymapper actually suggested walking south on Regent Street PAST LITTLE ARGYLL an extra block to Great Marlborough Strret and then around the block to the theatre - three blocks when one would do. Do these apps know that I could use the extra exercise?! Looks like TFL GO is my new friend. Thanks again, everyone.
