Getting from Manchester Picadilly to Manchester Airport

So we are heading to Manchester Airport from London and I used Google Maps....I understand the directions up until it gets to Manchester Piccadilly, it's confusing when it tells me to take a train and then walk:

Manchester Piccadilly --> Manchester Airport --> Walk About 7 min , 0.4 mi
"Use caution - may involve errors or sections not suited for walking"

Can someone please explain this? How does one get to the main airport without walking in danger?

Thank you in advance!

Just use the map - if you are driving. You would be coming up from London on the M6 - which you leave for the A556 and then the M56.

Manchester Piccadilly is the railway station in downtown Manchester. If you are using the trains - just go to www.nationalrail.co.uk and put From EUS (London Euston) To MIA (Manchester Airport). Then click DETAILS and it tells you what train you would be on and where to change. Pre-book your ticket for a specific train ideally about 11 weeks ahead to nab the lowest fares - at www.virgintrains.co.uk

Yes, that caution statement on Google Maps is boilerplate. For this particular walk (from airport train station to your airline checkin) don't worry.

Easy walk. "Danger" may mean something as simple as a little bit of rough sidewalk somewhere.
