Getting from Heathrow to our hotel in London

Google Maps has 3 different routes from the airport to our hotel in London. One is the Piccadilly, ( a subway I am guessing), the second is the Elizabeth, and the third is the Heathrow Express. Prices vary from around $6 to $22 I am guessing because of the subway and the express train. I am confused because there are TWO spots where they say terminal 2 & 3. I am looking for suggestions or recommendations to avoid getting lost and get to our destination with minimal confusion. Thank you.

The closest station to Cartwright Gardens will be King's Cross/St Pancras. The simplest and also cheapest way to get there is to take the Piccadilly line Underground from Heathrow - it's a direct train that will take about an hour and cost £5.60pp. Just pay with a contactless card or phone or smart watch pay - no need for any form of ticket. Just follow the signs from the terminal to the Underground. the line starts at Heathrow so no problem with seats or space for your luggage.

The Underground is universally referred to as the tube and never as the subway - that's either a sandwich shop or an underpass.

There are two spots. There is a train station which serves the Elizabeth line and Heathrow Express. There is an Underground station that serves the Piccadilly line.

When you arrive at Heathrow there are clear signs to both the trains and the underground. I agree that taking the tube (underground) will be the simplest in your situation as there are no changes. Just follow the signs at Heathrow to the underground.

Let me suggest that you head over to You Tube and type in "taking the tube from Heathrow" or something similar. You will find several videos that show how to do this and can help orient you to what you want to do visually in advance.
