Getting around Cotswolds without a car post-covid

We are currently staying in Chipping Campden without a car. Just wanted to let people know that it has gotten more difficult since covid to get around without your own transport. There is no Uber here, and there are fewer taxis than there were before covid- a lot of taxi drivers have retired. There are also fewer buses- according to our B&B host, the bus companies cut their schedules during covid and are not back to pre-pandemic levels. A costly but convenient option is a private driver. We were fortunate to happen to book at B&B, Cornerways, run by Carole and Les. Les is a taxi driver and tour guide, and prioritizes guests who are staying at the B&B. I don't know what we would have done during our stay here without him!

Consider a one-day small-group (van) tour offered by GoCotswolds. Tours depart from the Moreton-in-Marsh train station, an easy trip from Oxford.

There are also fewer buses

That's not just in the Cotswolds but also applies to many other places.

We just returned from the Cotswolds and highly recommend Gem Tours run by Genny. She has lived in the area her entire life and knows it like the back of her hand. She was a wonderful guide and I highly recommend her.
