RS doesn't talk much about south western England. We'll have 1.5-2 days in Bristol, traveling by train. I would like opinions on getting from the train station into more central parts of the city and also getting around to the museums, churches and the Clifton Suspension Bridge. Thank you.
This site will tell you about Bristol:>https://visitbristol.co.uk
www.traveline.info will tell you which buses to take.
Make sure you take the train to bristol Templemeads not Bristol Parkway. It's not hat big a city but you may find hoping on a short bus ride will help. Glad you're taking the time to visit - some great places to see and lovely architecture and vibe around Clifton.
Beware of choosing a hotel near Temple Meads. It has the look of a redeveloped area--perfectly attractive but still a food desert. Do not eat at the Ibis Hotel near the station no matter how hungry you may be.
Don’t forget that Bath is just a 15 minute train ride away. Temple Meads station is the downtown station - but is not that near to the main shopping areas around Cabot Circus - though it is walkable in about 15 minutes - or use a bus.
