Gatwick to Bath Spa Train - Buy in Advance or same day

Hi All,

Thanks in advance - my subject pretty much sums it up - I'd like to wait as long as I can be sure I'll get on a train - I don't mind paying more for the flexibility, because we are unsure of our exact travel plans, but I want to make sure we can get on a train - not sure if they book up - we will be there on May 23rd - thanks!

The time of arrival is important regarding the cost of 'walk-up' fares not limited to a particular service, as well as the route you might want to take.

An Anytime Single is £115 via London and £105 via Guildford/Reading. There are likely to be cheaper options depending on time, how many people, possible railcards, split ticketing etc.

Advances restricted to a single service are problematic as there is no allowance for late flights etc.

Thanks Marco - regardless of the cost, do you think we can get a ticket? Is there a possibility that all seats might already be taken? Or, if we are willing to pay, can we get a seat? I'm worried about all of them being fully booked. Thank you again!

These trains don't require seat assignments so, even if it's crowded, you can still board the train. Departures every hour via Reading, or others with more connections.
