Gatwick -recently?

Quick question- Get off the flight from US on BA at LGW. We immediately need to go get on the flight to EDI (BA same terminal). I've looked at maps but don't see what I'm looking for. Anyone give me a general idea of direction? We have 1 hr 50 mins between but I'm super nervous about missing the flight.

Updated: Has anyone gone through using E-Gates recently? did it cut down times a lot??? I just remember standing a really really long line.
Thanks!

After you clear immigration follow the signs for transfers. Easy. Many people to ask if you get confused and they all speak perfect English....

I'm just really nervous about missing our flight and I see there aren't many to go on instead. :(

I’m assuming you booked a single ticket with BA? If so, if your first flight is horribly delayed and you miss your connection they are responsible for getting you on the next available flight. If you are on a single ticket and you know you are in the same terminal you are a leg up. To make your life easier be sure your checked bags are through to EDI. If not, you’ll have to collect them. Better yet, have carry on bags only. Lots of info here on flying in https://www.gatwickairport.com/. We found Gatwick to be an easy airport

The last time we were there it seemed like a huge cluster. Of course, it was my first international flight and although booked through we had to change terminals, etc. Yes, it is BA booked through. We will have no bags checked and we are sitting in front of economy for quickly getting off, hopefully. I really need to be in Scotland for something that night- seems like plenty of time but if we miss the flight I am afraid we won't make it.

We have e-passports, so it seems like that should save us time now. Will we have to go through security again?

The flight we are on was delayed by an hour tonight :( I guess thats where my fear just started.

Well, delays happen. An hour late departure does not necessarily mean an hour late arrival. But, I would ask-if you really, really need to be in Scotland that night why are you not flying in the day before? The e-passport helps but as you probably know the UK allows a lot of folks in with e-passports so much depends on how many flights arrive at once, how immigration is staffed. If you really need to hedge your bets look at Easy Jets schedule. But those tickets are non-refundable should you choose to buy as a backup.

I just couldn't leave earlier. There wasn't a way and honestly getting somewhere at 10 in the morning for an 8pm event seems long enough to me...typically.

I'm just hopeful it all works out. I see there is possibility of another flight. Hopefully we don't need it.
