Found a flight with British Airways to Rome. Going back to London before returning to Orlando so using British Airways works great. Time to get through passport control and the next flight is 1-1/2 hr. Is this enough time? How long does it generally take to get through passport control at Gatwick? British Airways sells this ticket but it seems like a short connection time. Thanks.
Last year I had a question about Minimum Connection Time at Gatwick. Some of this may be relevant to the type information you are seeking in general: https://community.ricksteves.com/travel-forum/england/gatwick-question
Are you saying that on the day you return to Gatwick from Rome on BA you are flying back to Orlando, still from Gatwick and on what airline, also BA but on a different ticket?
Hi Mona thanks for the link.
Flying from Orlando to Rome. A plane change in Gatwick with 1-1/2 hours. Will have to get through passport control and get to the next flight. Has anybody done this? British Airways sells this flight but it seems short on time.
Flight home is London to Orlando direct.
Thanks.
LaRae, you will go through security at Gatwick, but you will not go through immigration there. You will stay airside.
Laura thanks. Just the info I was looking for. Much appreciated.
