Was going to reserve our time slot for April 8th to find out they are only allowing museum member and pass holders for those dates. So adjust accordingly. With our schedule all planned out already for our trip to London we most likely won’t be going at all the the British museum. Which is a bummer!

the crowds in London really beef up on school holidays. That's Easter. It would be too crowded otherwise.

I've just spoken to the British Museum.
The reason for the lack of booked visits during that period is that the staff have announced a strike for those days which the staff member expected to actually happen. They will try to open but she said that members will be admitted but that they don't know which if any floors or rooms will be available to be opened. The first 4 days are deffo and they expect at least the following two but it may go longer.
at least now we know

Moved some thing around and will be going to the Museum on Sunday 2nd. Was planning on seeing the changing of the guard but they are not doing it that day and only doing it once that week. So that works out.
