From Colorado to England in May

Hello ~ we will be the typical tourist in London for the first five days and then to Bedford staying with friend for the rest of the time.
Cannot decide whether to purchase the London Pass. My travel companion doesn't think it is worth it. We will purchase the Oyster card. Appreciate any recommendations.

The London Pass is only worthwhile if you plan to see enough of the attractions to pay for itself. You'll have to do your own math, adding up the individual ticket prices. With so many free to see historic places and museums in London, we've never felt the need to pay for the London Pass; preferring to only pay for those that especially interested us. YMMV.

For most, the London Pass isn’t worth it, but you need to work out what you want to see and do the maths. Many museums have free entry.

Oyster cards are sensible for your transport. They won’t be valid for train travel to Bedford - book this on nationalrail.co.uk.

If your bank card has contactless payment, or you have a device with Apple Pay or Google Pay you don't even need an Oyster card.
