Football Schedule and Tickets for London 2019 / 2020

Sorry to be vague but I think it's sometime in June. That might well be opening fixtures of the Premier League, but the Championship starts a week before.

This will probably be the opening weekend of the season. The fixtures are released in mid June (was 14 June in 2018).

Season's tickets go on sale early in the year and, for the biggest teams, can sell out by the start of spring. That doesn't mean singles won't be available but it's best to consult the teams' internet sites to be certain of availability and procedures.There may be summer "friendly" games, essentially tune-ups for the regular season. Football is fast approaching a 12-months-a-year play. And preliminaries for the next World Cup do approach. Sorry, not a simple answer.

Ok, no simple answer it seems. We would be looking for tickets for a family of four but it doesn't really matter which team as its more the experience we are looking for.

That will either be the opening weekend of the Premiership or it will start a week later.

Premiership matches often get moved at relatively short notice to anytime between Friday evening and Monday evening to fit the tv schedules. If your time isn’t that flexible, look to attend a Championship match, as these are less likely to be moved.

Our schedule is pretty flexible. We will be staying in Camden town but can visit whichever stadium has tickets we can buy.

Are you football fans? As in, fans of the game of football? If not, I really don’t recommend going - it’s not worth the expense for the ‘experience’ alone. Only go if you want to watch a game.

Buying tickets on walk up will not be possible for a Premier League game, you will have to prepurchase online. Championship may be possible depending on fixture, while in leagues below that and for friendlies walk up is fine.
