After a stay in the Lake District we will have a driver to Manchester Airport. Is it the usual 2 hour before flight recommendation. Will we be required to go thru customs. We are trying to set up a tour in Dublin the same afternoon of our arrival. Our travel date is October 10, 2019.

You go through passport control. You have, I presume, nothing to declare, so exit customs door for that.

In Dublin:
Passport control.....yes
Customs.......no. (Use the blue door)
If you are going back to the UK from Ireland, there is no passport control in the UK.
