Flybe has ceased trading

Flybe- a regional airline in the United Kingdom- has ceased trading overnight.

So anyone booked with them will need to make a claim with the administrators and make alternative travelling arrangements.

They collapsed in Covid, and re-opened last year, so have been re-established for less than a year.

I don't think that there is any way back for them now....

Flybe has collapsed more often than a deckchair. Their passenger loads were low so this isn't too surprising.

I saw a report about FlyBe ceasing operations on BBC, and it's unfortunate but probably just another casualty of the pandemic. According to the report, EasyJet and RyanAir are ready to hire former FlyBe staff, so they may not be out of a job for too long.

Last time Loganair picked up some of their routing. I wonder if they will do that again.

Flybe were competing with Loganair on a number of routes - possibly not the best decision.
