We are at the gate waiting to board from Delhi to LHR, so things are recovering fast.

Thanks, Mardee!

John, let us know when you are home!

I hope things will be back to normal soon. A forum friend is scheduled to leave LHR Sunday to head home so hope she can get out.

Good luck to those of you traveling this week and anyone else currently in UK!

Landed 35 minutes ago, just ahead of schedule, but waiting for bags. That could be a whole given I assume every flight today is full.
Not properly home until late on Monday - we have some granddaughter sitting duties here in London first. More of a delight than a chore of course!

I was able to check in for my scheduled British Air flight tomorrow afternoon as if nothing has happened. The only thing that I’ve changed is choosing to carryon going home, rather than check my bags as we often do on return flights. I’m wearing layers of heavy clothes (cue Joey on Friends!), and my compression cubes are full! Heathrow left our bags behind last year, and I can only imagine the issues right now.

Pam, let's hope it's goes smoothly into next week!

John, glad you landed safely and have fun with your granddaughter!

Cathy, I've also decided to carry-on this time instead of checking a bag. We're not leaving until Wednesday and it's non-stop, but you never know. I'd rather just keep it all with me. Have a safe flight and a wonderful trip!

I’d recommend not playing “how close can I cut it”. From what I’m seeing here in Europe, there’s still a lot of people trying to get to their final destination. So if you miss the cut off by even a minute or two at Heathrow for bags, security, etc. your seat’s gone.
