Ferry/Train from Dublin to London

Has anyone done the SailRail from Dublin to London? Looking at making the trip mid-June, wondering if I should buy tickets now, or if I can wait until I'm in Dublin (about 4 days before I'd need the tickets).

Also, if anyone is familiar, I'm trying to read the timetables correctly to figure out what time we'll arrive in London this way. I think if we leave Dublin at 8:05 a.m., arrive Holyhead at 11:30 a.m., depart by train at 12:52 and arrive London Euston at 4:39.

I love to fly. My husband does not. So I thought this might be a nice change from the Ryan Air hops (to Edinburgh, then Dublin).

Thanks for any advice!

we have done this twice----ferry is very nice---train ride is scenic---your times are correct-----a far more relaxing way to travel----they have a lounge area on the ferry where you can take a nap if desired---we found it easier to buy our tickets online in advance

hope this helps

Do note that SailRail can sell out for a particular crossing as there are only a certain number of places reserved for it on the ferry.
