In October we will be coming into Portsmouth harbor on the Condor ferry from Guernsey. We then need to get to the train station to travel to London. Has anyone done this route?? How easy is it to get to the train station from the ferry harbor in Portsmouth?? Thanks for any help.

The nearest station to the ferry terminal is Portsmouth & Southsea. There does not seem to be any shuttle buses, though Brittany Ferries estimate the cost of a taxi to be about £5.
Due to the absence of a shuttle bus and normal bus service stops being located a decent walk from the ferry terminal (I assume you'll be carrying luggage), I would recommend taking a taxi. There are two stations in Portsmouth, so if you take a taxi be sure to ask for 'Portsmouth & Southsea station' and not just 'Portsmouth station'.

Portsmouth & Southsea station is also known as the "town station" and is not far from the Continental Ferry Port, Portsmouth Harbour station is also not that far so don't panic if you end up there.
