Family Hotel Near Victoria Station in London

Does anyone have any recommendations for a hotel near Victoria Station in London that can accommodate a family of 4 in one room? The recommendations in the guidebook look fantastic, but they all seem to have a maximum capacity of 2 or 3 people from what I have been able to see on their websites. Thanks in advance for the help!

you might try booking.com for research. You can then book on booking or go to the lodging to book

Try the Best Western Victoria Station. Ask for a family room.

It would be helpful to know if you are talking about 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. Also what time of year will you be there, and how many nights do you need?

That said, you might consider a Premier Inn. This is a British chain of hotels, which come highly recommended on this forum. I have stayed at several and love them and will be staying at one when I'm in London next month for 5 nights. The prices are VERY reasonable, the rooms are clean with comfortable beds, good amenities, an efficient and helpful staff, and a number of locations. And they have family rooms.

I just checked the Premier Inn near Victoria Station and they have family rooms available that consist of a double bed, sofa bed and pull out bed - enough for 4 people, but probably best for a family of 2 adults and 2 kids. So you might wan to check that location out to see if it serves your purpose. There are photos of the family rooms available. https://www.premierinn.com/gb/en/hotels/england/greater-london/london/london-victoria.html?cid=GLBC_LKEBAR

You can then book on booking or go to the lodging to book.

I would strongly advise that you book directly with the hotel. If any problems arrive, the hotel is in a much better position to deal with them than a 3rd party booking agency. And the rates are usually less expensive at the hotel.

I'm sure that, whilst not common, there are rooms around for 4 people, but the OP seems to particularly want the Victoria station area. I don't know whether this is essential for a good reason or just an area s/he has picked. I would find it a fairly dull place to stay but others seem to like it.

We have 2 adults and 2 teenage boys, so basically 4 adults at this point!

The further from central London you get, the cheaper it gets, generally. London might be a big city, but things are not that far apart, and their public transit system is great (unless you start looking at their pricing in detail, then it would have your head spinning). BTW, at first, I take the tube, for expediency, then I relax a bit, and end up on buses, which are not only cheaper, but allow you to experience the city in a much more human way (for lack of a better term).

There are more interesting areas to stay than Victoria Station. It is one particular area I don't like in London, and I have stayed there twice. Earls Court has character, is not far away, and extremely well served by transit of all kinds. I have also felt safer there.

That is interesting. Everyone has different perceptions. We like the Victoria Station area. Probably have stayed closer to a month total over the past 50+ years. Has a couple of great restaurants, pubs, and breakfasts and even laundry in the area. Easy access to public transit at Victoria station and the national bus system depot. Used to stay in the Winchester hotel but it is long gone. We now use the annex of the Best Western. Not very exciting but was rewarded on a recent stay to a 50 pound note in the room safe. We think the area is as safe as anywhere else. It has worked for us for a long time.
