Extended Family Trip to London - Lodging Options

Hello! We are planning an extended trip to London in the May 2027 timeframe. I know I am early but I wanted to start thinking about lodging options. Ideally, we would like to all stay together which would necessitate a 5-bedroom house. We would certainly be open to staying outside of London as long as there was good train access into the city. Not sure where to begin. Any insights or suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Early vacation planners unite! ;) I’m an early planner, too, jjf. A few years back, we stayed with a rental company I read about on this forum, Ivy Lettings, and were very pleased. I just did a quick search on their website for a 5 br house and saw two. One on Brandesbury Road and the other at Queen Anne’s Gate. They are at the bottom of the page. Here is the link:

I am unfamiliar with the convenience to the tube, etc. for the neighborhood the Brondesbury Road is in, but they both look very nice for such a big group. Hope this helps!

I can't help with lodging in London but I do know the area around Brondesbury Road well. This is a good area- you are kind of in the middle of three neighbourhoods (Queen's Park, Kilburn, and Maida Vale). Queen's Park and Maida Vale are both quite nice (Kilburn is fine but I don't think you'd expect to see many tourists there). You are between two stations- Queen's Park (Bakerloo line and the Overground/Lioness line) and Kilburn High Road (Overground/Lioness line), and also close to Kilburn Park (Bakerloo line). Nearby Salusbury Road is very nice for restaurants, pubs, etc. Kilburn High Road has a lot of shops, supermarkets, etc. It's close to Queen's Park (as in the park itself), which is very nice, as well as Paddington Old Cemetery, where the author of Paddington (Michael Bond) is buried. You're also relatively close to Regent's Park, the canal, and Kensal Rise cemetery (one of the Magnificent Seven cemeteries).

The Overground/Lioness line will take you into Euston very quickly. The Bakerloo line goes down through Regent's Park into central London (Oxford Circus, Piccadilly Circus, Charing Cross) which is convenient. I hope that is helpful!
