Everybody's Talking About Jamie

My daughter and i saw this musical in London when we visited this summer, and absolutely loved it. We were commenting on how much we would like to see it again ... and how unlikely it would be to come to the U.S.
This week, she found a showing in a local movie theatre! It's a recording of the live performance in London.
I thought others might be interested ... it hasn't been advertised around here at all, she found it just by chance. There's one more showing this Wednesday in our area, not sure about nationally.

Thank you for posting this. There are a few theatres in Atlanta showing this tomorrow night but I never would have known that without you!!

I agree, I loved that show when I saw it last May. I hope it eventually makes it stateside although they would have to change some jokes and also some accents were a bit too hard to understand but I loved it anyway. I'm in California and it's being shown here. Unfortunately, I'm unable to make any of the shows but at least I can listen to the album because I bought it on iTunes. I hope you had a chance to go!

We went Sunday night and took my husband, who loves the show now too, and is listening to it in the car!

That looks good; I hadn't heard of it before.
A bit like Billy Elliott meets Kinky Boots.
I'll be in London next weekend, so I think I'll see if I can get a ticket!

I'm back from the UK, and when I was in London, I did go to see this show!
I was passing the theatre in the afternoon, and just walked in and got a ticket for that night.
It was 35 pounds, and was the second to last row from the back on the lower level, so a great view.
The show was excellent!
I highly recommend it.
I did understand the accents, as I lived in the UK years ago; but the girl next to me kept asking me what they were saying!
Go...you'll love it!

I was in London in early September and was unable to get a last-minute ticket, so I'd recommend buying a bit in advance if this is a "definitely want to see" show.

I was in London in October and decided spur of the moment to go see a play. I remember Emma from this forum saying that Everybody’s Talking About Jamie had received good reviews so I thought I’d give it a shot. It was THE BEST PLAY EVER!!! It was phenomenal. I laughed, I cried, and I cheered like the Broncos were winning the Super Bowl. If you get the chance, check it out, you won't be sorry!
