Hello, I am trying to iron out a few options for my UK travel itinerary.
I am arriving in London Heathrow at 8:30am from Canada. I am thinking of touring around London and area attractions at the end of my visit and heading straight to Liverpool to see my family first.
I see there are trains from Euston to Lime street station in Liverpool. So, I'm thinking of staying somewhere overnight near Euston and taking the train early the next day to Liverpool. Can somebody recommend any good places to stay near Euston station where we can still easily access some London sights on our first day? Thanks!
I stayed here good prices service comfortable clean

20 minutes walk to British Museum
There is a Tube stop at Euston as well to use to get around London
For one night I'd get a chain hotel. Less character but guaranteed quality. There's a Travelodge right next to the station but I'd pick the Premier Inn about five minutes' walk away.
For fast trains to Liverpool Lime Street use Virgin West Coast. To save a bit of money use London Midland most hours at 46 after the hour to Crewe, change at Stafford for the train to Liverpool Lime Street.
Hold onto your ticket for the full duration on both companies - there are ticket barriers at both ends of the journey.
Say hello for me to the statue of Ken Dodd (complete with feather duster) in the station in Liverpool.
Thanks for the advice! I'll look at the Premier Inn and check out those train options. Much appreciated.
