Eurostar the only train?

I was thinking of doing a day trip from London to Paris. I was curious if the Eurostar was the only train (and respectable company) that can use the Chunnel or are there others? From all I can find, it is only the Eurostar that does this, but you can book it from other sites.

Also anyone know of sites were you can get a bit cheaper ticket for the Eurostar? I plan on going in July of this year.

Thanks in advance!

Eurostar is the only one.. and a good one... I booked direct and got a 50 GBP ticket for our Paris-London trip this july. Book now.. the longer you wait all the cheap fares dissappear and you will pay more and more closer to date. Second class is fine.. I would not bother with 1st.. Bring a picnic.. everyone does.. enjoy. I booked directly on the Eurostar site.. and will pick up tickets with my email confirmation .Make sure you bring the exact credit card you used to book the tickets with.. its a must.

I bought my Eurostar tickets yesterday - one way from London to Paris. I will be traveling in September. The tickets were £39 each, which was the least expensive fare for 2nd class. I believe a round trip ticket would be less than twice that amount if purchased far enough ahead of time. Note that yesterday was the first day tickets were available for the date I needed, and a couple of the departures times only had 5 or 6 tickets left at that price. Purchasing through the Eurostar website allowed for picking the ticket up at the station using the credit card you made your purchase with, or printing at home. I decided to print at home. I printed 2 of each ticket so I can carry a pair and my husband can carry a pair. I've had a problem recently with mycredit card company canceling a card and sending a new one because of potential security breaches. I didn't want to take a chance that the card I used would no longer be valid.

Deutsche Bahn do have permission to use the channel tunnel for passenger services, and intend at some stage to run trains from London to Frankfurt via Brussels and Cologne as well as to Amsterdam via Rotterdam. These are currently planned to start some time next year but have already been put back once.
