Eurostar Paris to London

Planning to take Eurostar from Paris to London (first time in London). Any advice on ticketing, border patrol, customs? Expectations about how long to allow at St Pancras for tour scheduling purposes? Transport advice from St Pancras to hotel on other side of Thames at Westminster Bridge? Thanks!

Here's the Eurostar website. Buy tickets in advance, the earlier the better for best price. They recommend getting to Gare du Nord a couple of hours before your train departs. You'll go through UK immigration and customs before you board the train. The gate closes 45 minutes before departure.

The London Underground (Tube) connects St. Pancras with many stations on the south bank of the Thames, including Waterloo which is close to Westminster Bridge. The Transport for London website can help you plan the best route. Especially if you have much luggage, you may find a taxi easier at a much higher cost.

I don't understand your question about "how long to allow at St. Pancras for tour scheduling purposes." Maybe you're thinking of border control, which won't be necessary. You'll leave the train just as if you'd arrived from somewhere in England.

Thank you---exactly the info I needed. The info you provided in last paragraph also on point--didn't know what would be required on UK side. Thank you again--getting ready to book Eurostar!
